Mixed-use Building, Paris (18e)
This mixed-use building completes the pre-existing urban ensemble by filling all the undefined and residual spaces. The project aims to form a coherent whole by incorporating the existing first levels into the overall programme. Five generous green courtyards and a rooftop garden punctuate the new construction. These dynamic living spaces benefit the users of the offices as well as the residents, by creating an “inhabited landscape” at the forefront of the Parisian zinc roofs and the panorama of the Montmartre hill. The patios create delicate transparent interfaces and make it possible to grasp the whole volume and depth of the building, through varied perspectives.
